Job Overview
C# .NET Web Application Developer
C# .NET Application Developer required with an excellent background and experience in creating enterprise web applications in .NET framework 3.5.
The right candidate will work well within a team and have the ability to manage their own workload in terms of ownership and the ability to deliver assigned tasks on time.
They will have initiative and the ability to understand and interpret design specifications.
They must have the knowledge to debug across multiple technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS and web applications.
They must always be actively updating their Microsoft Certifications and have a passion to learn new and emerging technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting edge Microsoft Technologies.
Requirements
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in c# .NET web development
- Excellent knowledge and experience of C# .NET Framework 3.5/4.0
- Excellent knowledge and experience of ADO.NET, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft development technologies including Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and above
- Knowledge and experience of developing XML, Web Services and Windows Services
- Knowledge and experience with IIS 6 and above
- Knowledge and experience of developing against Windows Active Directory
Additional Skills
- Microsoft SharePoint 2010

Speaker Bio
Colin Angus Mackay is a Software Developer living in Glasgow. He has been programming since the age of 9 starting with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. He became a professional software developer in 1994, using a Smalltalk based language called Magik. In 1996 he started using C++ commercially and in 2002 migrated to the emerging language of C#. Developers make more money with Windows Phone apps than with iPhone ones....an increasing number of companies claim. It's an exciting opportunity and previous experience with Microsoft's tools and technologies can provide a head start when you want to begin learning how to create apps. This session will not only help you discover how to get started building apps for the fastest growing mobile marketplace but also provide advice on making your apps stand out. We'll cover all the essentials for the phone and also include a few tips that will help when you start building metro style apps for Windows 8 too.
Speaker Bio
Matt Lacey is disappointed with most of the software experiences he's exposed to each day and dreams of a world where software works the way users want and need it to. He believes that things can be better and wants to help developers make things better. You'll often find him answering questions on StackOverflow and organising 2, yes 2, user groups: DevEvening and the Windows Phone User Group. Since the late 90's he's worked at a variety of companies (from the very large to the very small) and built software on more platforms and with more languages than he can remember. Speaker Bio
Sebastien Lambla runs Caffeine IT, a .net consultancy / contracting company helping the good people of London adopt new technologies, new processes, new methodologies and in general anything that's new and shiny. Specializing in cutting-edge tools, from REST architectures to occasionally connected rich clients, Sebastien has been developing with .net since 2000, and has a secret love affair with javascript. In his spare time he’s working on OpenRasta, a resource-oriented MVC framework for .net.
